William J. “Bill” Cresswell, age 94, of Herculaneum, Missouri passed January 1, 2014 at Scenic View Nursing Center, Herculaneum. He was born March 22, 1919 in Potosi, Missouri, the son of the late Viola (nee Swift) and Omar N. Cresswell. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife of 56 years, Marian (nee Callahan) Cresswell, his sister Peggy Thomas, and her husband, Dalton. He is survived by his daughter, Sue Cresswell of Herculaneum. Graveside funeral services 1:00 P.M. Leo G. Dehner, Sr., age 83, of Crystal City, Missouri passed away Wednesday, January 1, 2014 at Mercy Hospital Jefferson in Crystal City. He was born April 18, 1930 in Crystal City, the son of the late Florine (nee James) and George Dehner. He is survived by his wife Judith C. (nee Klable) Dehner, sons Leo (Kelly) Dehner, Jr. of Austin, Texas and Fred (Stephanie) Dehner of Osage Beach, Missouri, sisters Teresa (the late Bill) Dallas of Crystal City and Katherine (the late Cliff) Hahn of Olney, Illinois, grandchildren Blaise, Leo, Georgia, Chloe, Julia and Caelan Dehner. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by a brother Paul (Bobbi survives) Dehner. He was an Air Force Veteran from the Korean War Era, a retired machinist having worked for Lever Brothers in St. Louis for 30 years, member of Sacred Heart Church in Crystal City, a fourth degree member of Knights of Columbus Council #1230 and the Plattin Rock Boat Club. He was born August 3, 1938 in St. Louis, Missouri the son of the late Lydia (nee Crandell) and Thara Propst. He is survived by his wife Rebecca (nee Martin) Propst, sons James Thara Propst and wife Karen of Herculaneum, Missouri and Larry Propst, Jr. and wife Lisa of Festus, a brother Donald Propst of Festus, grandchildren Andrew Propst and wife Kayla, Lauren Ashlock and husband Aaron, Zachary and Nathan Propst, great-grandchildren Caroline Ashlock and Jameson Propst and numerous nieces. He was a retired auto worker from Chrysler Corporation and bus driver for Huskey Bus Lines, a member and Deacon of New Testament Baptist Church in Festus and a United States Army Veteran. Marcella Cunningham, age 88, of Crystal City, Missouri
passed away Saturday, January 4, 2014 at Salem Memorial District
Hospital Long Term care in Salem, Missouri. She was born February 6,
1925 in Crystal City, the daughter of the late Martha (nee Schwent) and
Henry Jokerst. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by
her husband of 56 years Glenn P. “Jack” Cunningham, sisters Corella
(Dwight survives) Caldwell and Florence (the late Norvel) Wall, brothers
Charles “Sam” Jokerst, Herbert (the late Nan) Jokerst and Raymond (
Barbara survives) Jokerst. She is survived by her daughter Jackie
(James) Hagan of Decatur, Illinois, her son Terry (Martha) Cunningham of
Salem, a sister Millie (the late Roger) McClanahan of Festus and
grandchildren Rebecca Cunningham, Susan, Michael and Julie Hagan. She
was a retired clerk of 25 years with the Jefferson County Abstract Co.
and a member of Sacred Heart Church in Crystal City. Visitation 4:00

Missouri. He was a carpenter, award winning builder, member of De Soto

“Butch” Marmon, Jr., age 54 of Arnold, Missouri passed away
January 7, 2014 at his home. He was born March 6, 1959 in St. Louis,
Missouri the son of Annabelle (nee Lexa) Marmon of High Ridge, Missouri
and the late Russell Lloyd Marmon, Sr. In addition to his mother he is
survived by a son Christopher Marmon and wife Tiffanie of Crystal City,
Missouri, a sister Kathleen Leitman of St. Peters, Missouri, special
friend Susan Venus of Kansas City, Missouri and former wife Beth (nee
Lowe) Marmon. He was the owner/operator of P&M Global and active in the
local golf circuit, a former ice hockey player and coach with the
Meramec and Affton ice hockey leagues. Butch was an icon in the Golf
Industry for over 30 years managing and operating one of the largest
Golf Retailers in the country. A fierce, fair and honest negotiator he
helped train and further the careers of hundreds of young people over
the years. Butch was the genuine man and a friend to everyone he made
contact with. Whether it was raising funds for a sick employee, watching
over the family he loved or simply being there when aid was needed,
everyone could count on Butch. True to his word with old school ethics
and integrity, he leaves friends from coast to coast who will miss him
dearly. |

Mercy Hospital Jefferson. Born on November 22, 1970, in St Petersburg,
Florida to Dennis Tully of Sebring, Florida and Teri (Chmiel) Godfrey of
Spain. In addition to her parents, she is survived by her husband: Larry
E Pyron of Pevely, MO, son: John Robbins of Largo, FL, stepchildren:
Chad E. (Mary) Stricklin of Potosi, MO, Larry E Pyron Jr of Festus, MO
and Kevin E Pyron of Festus, MO, 5 grandchildren: Cierra, Jaden, Lexi,
Allie and Brooke, mother in law: Dorothy Pyron of St Louis, MO and
brother in law: James Pyron of St Louis, MO, stepmother: Juanita Fischer
of Sebring, FL and special dogs: Killer and Brutus. She was an order
entry clerk for American Home Patient in Festus and also worked at Jack
In the Box in Herculaneum. She enjoyed fishing and shooting guns.
Memorial service to be held on Monday, January 20 at 8pm at Mahn Twin
City Chapel in Festus with Reverend Gene Moses officiating. Memorial
visitation from 6-8pm. Interment is private. Donations preferred to the

Walter Louis “Lou” Stoll, age
83, formerly of Festus, Missouri passed away Thursday, January 9, 2014.
He was born September 26, 1930 in McClure, Illinois the son of the late
Esther (nee Russell) and Walter H. Stoll. He is survived by his wife
Carol L. (nee Huber) Stoll, a daughter Amy Sapp and husband Steven of
Columbia, grandsons Evan, Aaron and Landon Sapp, sisters Rose (the late
Edgar) Kayser of Granite City, Illinois, Dorothy (the late Cleadis)
Newman of North Augusta, South Carolina, Laura (the late Howard) Hancock
of Deltona, Florida, a sister-in-law Harriet Dalton of Ocala, Florida.
In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by 6 sisters and 2
brothers. He was Out State Sales Manager for Pevely Dairy and later a
salesman with Navy Brand Manufacturing Company in Valley Park, Missouri,
a member of the Hope United Church of Christ in DeSoto, Missouri, served
in the Missouri National Guard, was a member of the University of
Missouri Jefferson County and State Extension Councils and a past
Republican committeeman for Plattin Township. Visitation 10:00 A.M.
until time of service at 1:00 P.M. Saturday, January 11, 2014 at Vinyard

He was born August 16, 1921 in Festus, Missouri the son of the late Nellie H. (nee Bradley) and Francis B. Boyer, Sr. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his wife Lillie (nee Dollar) Boyer and brothers Glennon A. Boyer and Bernard G. Boyer. He is survived by several nieces and nephews. He was an instrument repairman at Pittsburg Plate Glass Company in Crystal City, Missouri and served in the United States Marine Corp.
